Polish carriers threaten to block all checkpoints with the Ukrainian side due to excessive competition after the liberalization of international transportation between Ukraine and the EU.
This is reported by the Ukravtoprom association with reference to the International Transport Association of Ukraine.
It is noted that on November 3, the first campaign with the participation of Polish carriers should take place near the Korchov checkpoint.
Polish carriers require:
- return permits to Ukrainian carriers;
- to strengthen the rules of transportation for foreign carriers under the ECMT;
- impossibility of registering a company in Poland if the company’s finances are located outside the EU;
- a separate queue in the eQueue for cars with EU license plates;
- a separate queue at all borders for empty trucks;
- get access to the “Path” system.
The action is planned for a period of two months.
It is added that earlier carriers in Poland were limited to one checkpoint, and now they plan to block all available entrances from Ukraine.
In addition to strikes at the borders with Ukraine, strikes by employees of the ports of Gdynia and Gdańsk are planned from November 9. After the closure of Ukrainian ports, they received an increase in workload, but at the same time they did not receive an increase in wages.
